Live Mbaka Sessions with African Youth

Discussing worship as an entry point to Africa

I recently had a session with the youth in my home area, and we had an opportunity to discuss the topic of worship. It was an enlightening and thought-provoking conversation that delved into the significance of worship in African culture and its impact on our lives today.

During our discussion, we explored the enduring presence of Africa's indigenous religions and the influence of early Christianity in Africa. We also delved into the contributions of African thinkers and spiritual leaders to the development of Christian thought and practice.

It was fascinating to see how these ancient traditions continue to shape our understanding of spirituality and faith. As we exchanged ideas and knowledge, I was struck by the depth of insight and wisdom that the young people brought to the conversation.

Their perspectives shed new light on the rich tapestry of African culture and the profound impact of colonization on our ancient wisdom and knowledge. I am thrilled to share this first audio with you, as it captures the essence of our discussion and the vibrant energy of our exchange. I hope that our conversation will spark further exploration and dialogue on the intersection of African culture, spirituality, and history.

I invite you to join us in this journey of discovery as we delve into the Mbaka Sessions with the Youth. Together, we will explore the rich heritage of African culture and the enduring wisdom that continues to inspire and guide us.

Thank you for being a part of this enriching experience.
